Luxury themed pokie machines are nothing special these days, at least when it comes to the rarity of such a game. They can be superb pokie machines, with the design being often the best part about them.
It’s not the case in Stinkin Rich though, a pokie where the design is not very satisfying, but which has its own unique niche in the luxury category. The pokie deals with luxury and with things or creatures that stink, taking advantage of the popular saying about people that are “stinking rich”.
Developer
IGT is a developer of pokie machines, but not just for the online casinos. The company is well renowned, as one of the best creators of pokie machines for land based casinos.
They have their fair share of online pokies as well though, and Stinkin Rich is one example, though not a very attractive one. This seems to be a problem for IGT, getting the design right even in their recent titles, though payouts and features they usually do very well.
How To Play It
You can have anywhere between 1 and 100 paylines active during a single spin. You use bets which start at $1, so for all the lines to be active, you have to spend at least $100 per spin. It’s definitely not the kind of game that you play if you’re on a low budget. The higher limit of the pokie is not very clear, apparently going as high as your budget if you let it.
You have a lot of paylines to play on, which is good when you think of how many opportunities you get to win something, but also bad, since you have so many to cover with your bets. The design is clearly one of the major downsides of this game, and I for one had a problem with it.
Special Features
Wild symbols come in stacked, but only on three reels, the ones from the middle. Their images sport Lady Skunks on them, and you will find that they come in useful when they land on the payline where you need them. Having them stacked means that you’re likely to have a few present and part of a lot of paylines.
There is a second skunk character in the game, the one that shows the male. This one is different, working as a scatter, so it’s not important on which paylines it appears. As long as you have 3, 4 or 5 scatters of this type, you get paid 3x, 20x or 100x the bet.
The symbol which gives you access to free spins is not a scatter, working like a bonus icon instead, appearing on the same line with three symbols when it does trigger the feature. The reels on which this symbol can appear are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. You receive 5 free games for each line that has the three symbols on it. This symbol has a logo which says Keys to Riches.
You might also encounter a second feature, one where a scatter triggers a bonus game, called Trash for Cash. In it, you get paid anywhere between 6 and 40 times the triggering wager. These symbols are scatters, and they appear on the reels 3, 4 and 5.

I’m quite satisfied with the top prize that is mentioned in the game. You can take home a 10,000x jackpot with the right five symbols on a payline, or you can get about the same amount by landing a scatter prize of 100x the bet (with 100 lines active).
Summary
I enjoyed a lot of things about this game, like the features and the payouts, but the design is clearly not one of them. If you can get past it, the game can be a good choice.
