NetEnt’s inspiration for this pokie from the Fairytale Legends series is an old fairytale from Europe, which is originally called Little Red Riding Hood.
They’ve dropped the “Little” from this particular story, but the action is the same one, based on a little girl that goes through a dark forest, to reach her sick grandmother with a basket full of food. A wolf finds out and goes to her grandma’s house, eats her, then pretends to be her.
It doesn’t sound like a fun story, but it’s an old one, going back to the 17th century. You’re most likely to have learned the version from the Brothers Grimm.
Symbols designed for Red Riding Hood will include the main character in one symbol, but otherwise you’re getting mostly things like logos, golden shields, golden keys, roses or story books. It ends with the typical poker cards.
